- oversound uses AI to interpret live events. It is careful, but it can make mistakes.
- Do not use it where a certified interpreter is required — for example in court, for medical care or in an emergency.
- Tell your speakers and guests that the talk is translated by AI and may be recorded.
- Your content stays yours. We only use it to provide the service to you.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and AURUM DAYS LLC, a company in California, USA, which runs oversound.ai (“oversound”, “we”, “us”). By using oversound you agree to them. If you use oversound for an organization, you agree for that organization, and “you” means the organization too. If we have signed a separate written agreement or order with you, that agreement wins where it differs from these terms.
2. What oversound does
oversound listens to a speaker, writes down what is said, translates it, and sends a computer voice and captions to the phones, tablets and screens of your guests. You can also upload a recording to translate after an event, and read and play back your events afterwards.
3. AI can make mistakes
Captions and voices are made by AI. We work hard on quality, but they can be wrong, incomplete or late — for example when the sound is unclear, when the internet is slow, or when a word is unusual. oversound is not certified interpretation. You must not rely on it where a mistake could harm someone or where the law requires a qualified interpreter, such as legal proceedings, medical care, or safety and emergency information.
4. Your responsibilities
- Tell people. Let your speakers and guests know that the talk is translated by AI and may be recorded, and get any permission the law requires where your event takes place.
- Have the right to it. Only use content you are allowed to use, and make sure your event follows the law.
- Keep access safe. Keep your passwords and links for the organizer's pages private. You are responsible for what happens under them.
- Prepare the room. Good results need a working microphone close to the speaker and a steady internet connection. We are not responsible for the venue's equipment or internet.
5. Things you may not do
- Use oversound for anything illegal, hateful, harassing or deceptive.
- Record or translate people in secret, or where they have a right not to be recorded.
- Try to break, overload, copy or get around the security of oversound.
- Resell oversound, or use it to build a competing product, without our written permission.
6. Your content
The recordings, text, word lists and other material from your events (“your content”) belong to you. You give us permission to store and process your content only to provide, support and improve oversound for you. We do not use your content to train our own AI models. You may use the captions, translations and voice clips made for your events for those events and your own records. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
7. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on our pricing page or in the quote or order we agree with you. Unless that quote or order says otherwise, you pay in advance, prices do not include taxes, and fees already paid are not refundable. If a payment is late, we may pause the service until it is paid.
8. Keeping the service running
We work to keep oversound available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. It depends on the internet, on the services we use, and sometimes on maintenance. We may improve or change features over time; if we remove something important you pay for, we will tell you first.
9. Confidentiality
We keep your content and the details of your events confidential, and only share them as our Privacy Policy describes or as the law requires.
10. Disclaimer
Apart from what these terms promise, oversound is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises — including that it is fit for a particular purpose, error-free or uninterrupted.
11. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or reputation; and our total liability for any claim about oversound is limited to the amount you paid us for oversound in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
12. Claims against us because of your use
If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your event, or your breaking these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
13. Ending
You can stop using oversound at any time. We may pause or end your access if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if we must to protect people or the service. When access ends, we delete your content as our Privacy Policy describes; ask us before then if you want a copy.
14. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in California, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell organizers before important changes take effect. If you keep using oversound after a change, you accept the new terms.
